$55.00
sold out

In this 1.5-hour after-school art workshop, children will explore colour, shape, and expressive mark-making inspired by the work of Wassily Kandinsky. Focusing on abstract art, students will discover how colours can show feelings and how lines and shapes can create movement, rhythm, and energy within a composition.

Through guided activities, children will experiment with bold colour combinations, dynamic lines, circles, and geometric forms to create their own abstract artworks. They will explore layering, balance, and contrast while learning how Kandinsky used music and emotion as inspiration for his paintings.

The session encourages imaginative thinking, confidence, and personal expression while developing foundational skills in composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling. Activities will be adapted to suit different primary age groups, with an emphasis on exploration, experimentation, and enjoyment. All materials are provided, and children will take home their own vibrant abstract masterpiece at the end of the session.

This class is aimed for primary students and can be adapted for age and ability

LOCATION: 315 Shell Road, Marcus Hill.

*Please follow the drive way about 100 metres and then turn left at the sign*

The workshop will take place in a very special creative space located on a private property. The studio sits amongst beautiful, established gardens that are part of a thriving, privately run vegetable garden. This unique setting provides a calm and inspiring environment for creativity and learning.

As this is a private property, the gardens themselves are not accessible during the workshop, and we kindly ask all participants to show care and respect for this special place. Children will be supervised at all times within the designated workshop area, and we ask families to support us in maintaining the integrity and privacy of the property.

We are incredibly grateful to be able to use this space and appreciate your understanding in helping us treat it with the respect it deserves.
