After School Art Club: Printmaking Like a Pro – Collograph Printing Tuesday June 16th 4pm
After School Art Club: Printmaking Like a Pro – Collograph Printing
Tuesday June 16th 4pm
In this 1.5-hour after-school art workshop, children will explore the exciting world of collograph printmaking by designing and creating their own textured printing plates.
Through guided activities, students will experiment with layering a variety of materials and surfaces to build unique collagraph plates full of texture, pattern, and detail. Children will then ink and print their designs, discovering how different textures and shapes create interesting visual effects on paper.
The session encourages creativity, confidence, and playful experimentation while developing foundational visual art and printmaking skills. Students will explore composition, texture, colour, and layering techniques to create expressive and original artworks.
Activities will be adapted to suit different primary age groups, with an emphasis on process, exploration, and enjoyment. All materials are provided, and children will take home a collection of their printed artworks at the end of the session.
LOCATION: 315 Shell Road, Marcus Hill
Please follow the driveway about 100 metres and then turn left at the sign.
The workshop will take place in a very special creative space located on a private property. The studio sits amongst beautiful, established gardens that are part of a thriving, privately run vegetable garden. This unique setting provides a calm and inspiring environment for creativity and learning.
As this is a private property, the gardens themselves are not accessible during the workshop, and we kindly ask all participants to show care and respect for this special place. Children will be supervised at all times within the designated workshop area, and we ask families to support us in maintaining the integrity and privacy of the property.
We are incredibly grateful to be able to use this space and appreciate your understanding in helping us treat it with the respect it deserves.
