After School Art Club: Bloom Boom! – Abstract Botanical Painting on canvas

Wednesday June 10th – 4pm

In this vibrant 1.5-hour after-school art workshop, children will dive into the colourful world of abstract botanical painting, creating bold and expressive artworks inspired by flowers, leaves, gardens, and nature.

Through guided activities, students will experiment with bright colour palettes, layered brushwork, pattern-making, and playful painting techniques to create their own unique botanical masterpieces. Children will explore shape, movement, texture, and composition while learning how artists use colour and imagination to transform natural forms into exciting abstract artworks.

The session encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a fun and supportive environment. Students will enjoy painting freely, experimenting with materials, and discovering new ways to interpret nature through art.

Activities will be adapted to suit different primary age groups, with an emphasis on exploration, creativity, and enjoyment. All materials are provided, and children will take home their finished paintings on canvas at the end of the session.

LOCATION: 315 Shell Road, Marcus Hill

Please follow the driveway about 100 metres and then turn left at the sign.

The workshop will take place in a very special creative space located on a private property. The studio sits amongst beautiful, established gardens that are part of a thriving, privately run vegetable garden. This unique setting provides a calm and inspiring environment for creativity and learning.

As this is a private property, the gardens themselves are not accessible during the workshop, and we kindly ask all participants to show care and respect for this special place. Children will be supervised at all times within the designated workshop area, and we ask families to support us in maintaining the integrity and privacy of the property.

We are incredibly grateful to be able to use this space and appreciate your understanding in helping us treat it with the respect it deserves.
